I've got a sick child... so I only got 9 rows knitted yesterday.

However, I've finally divided the center. I'm currently working on the right extension rows. Maybe it'll knit up faster since I'm only knitting the pattern across 124 stitches.

Again, no pictures. I didn't run to get batteries last night... not that 9 rows would be worth it.

My camera batteries just died. I can't find one single remote that has batteries with enough power to run a digital camera.

I knitted 21 rows. That's totally worth pictures. ::kicks our lack of batteries::

Again, no pictures. I'm so bad. I didn't knit one single row. Maybe Day Six will be better.

I'm not even going to post pictures of my lack of work.

Yesterday, I got 8 rows done. Eight! Yeah, not that much of a difference between Day Three and Day Four... no picture required. I miss the weekend.

Ella is knitting up nicely. I dislike that I have to pay so much attention to the pattern; I like to watch TV while I knit. Mistakes are so easily made that I'm checking my stitch count after every row. Since the stitches increase by at least two stitches every row, counting is becoming a very tedious chore. I know that the pattern writer states that Ella is a very forgiving pattern... I just can't bare the thought of mistakes that I didn't even try to find. (Yes, I'm anal.)

During Day Two, I worked a total of 25 rows. Not as many as I would have hoped... but not too bad either.

Today, Day Three, I worked a total of ::counts rows:: 25 rows. ::marvels that she worked the same amount both days::

I hope that my stitches open up when I wash and block it. (Yes, I'm aware that I'm talking about blocking acrylic yarn. It really did help when I made Tri-aran-angle from Knitty.)Here is hoping that blocking gives the shawl the look I'm wanting.

Night one of the Knitting Olympics. I didn't think they would ever light that bloody torch.

I plan to knit Ella from Knitty during the Winter Olympics. That's 16 days. I'm using Caron Simply Soft in Dk. Country Blue.

The torch was lit at 11:45 PM EST. I casted on. By 1:30 AM EST, I had completed the first of six pattern pages.

Ella is knitting up pretty fast, I hope that it continues to progress at this rate.
